Blubonic Industries, 35% Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide. Manufactured under the strictest conditions and tested at 35 percent +/- .001% using computer-controlled titration. Contains thirty five percent hydrogen peroxide by volume, the highest level permitted and recommended for handling, with great care. Hydrogen peroxide containers are peristaltic-filled, hermetically vacuum-sealed, tamper-evident, poly bag sealed, FDA compliant, food grade, and chemically compatible with thirty five percent hydrogen peroxide.
Potency & Purity: Blubonic adheres to rigorous quality control measures throughout the entire manufacturing process, and exceeds the most exacting standards of the Food Chemical Codex, providing true, stabilizer-free food grade hydrogen peroxide. All USA-made components and great attention to detail ensure the highest degree of purity and potency.
*It's a common misconception that 'food grade' equates to 'chemical-free'. Ask any manufacturer of hydrogen peroxide and they'll tell you - commercially produced food-grade hydrogen peroxide contains chemical stabilizers. Unlike those who repackage and rebrand commercially available options, we are a hydrogen peroxide manufacturer, enabling us to manufacture in-house, completely free of chemical stabilizers, delivering unmatched purity, potency, and freshness for a much more effective solution.
What is Hydrogen Peroxide?
Composed of only WATER and OXYGEN, Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) is nature's bleach, and the most effective oxidizer known to science. Food grade refers to the standard of handling and quality set by the Food Chemical Codex.
Shelf life & Storage: Hydrogen peroxide is manufactured within thirty days of shipment to ensure exceptional freshness, while our unique seal and cap liner prevent expansion of the hydrogen peroxide container due to rapid oxygen buildup. Note, the small vent in the seal may permit light moisture or seepage to accumulate within the poly bag during shipment; this is considered normal and will not affect the contents within the sealed bottle. If this occurs, a water rinse will neutralize any hazard. Unopened, 35% hydrogen peroxide can last for around 4 years when stored in the freezer, 3 years when stored refrigerated, and 1-2 years unrefrigerated. Once opened the shelf life reduces to 1-2 years in freezer storage, 6-12 months refrigerated, and 1-6 months unrefrigerated. When stabilizer-free hydrogen peroxide decomposes it turns back into pure water, so while the concentration slowly reduces over time, the efficacy of the reduced concentration remains intact. *This information has been updated to include both opened and unopened containers, and reflects the most accurate data currently available.
Containment: The packaging of hydrogen peroxide is essential to ensure that it retains its properties. The construction material recommended for the storage of hydrogen peroxide in concentrations up to fifty percent is high-density polyethylene with a vented closure. Note, glass containers, while commonly used for small volumes and convenience, can pose a risk when storing 35% hydrogen peroxide. The glass itself is susceptible to explosion if internal pressure becomes too great. Furthermore, glass can contain trace amounts of alkali metal ions that may dissolve into the hydrogen peroxide over time. The presence of these metal ions can cause the hydrogen peroxide to decompose more rapidly into water and oxygen gas. This release of oxygen gas inside a sealed glass container can lead to a dangerous build-up of pressure, which can cause the bottle to fail, so caution is advised when using glass. For primary containment of thirty five percent food grade hydrogen peroxide, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) provides the most stable surface; this is the type of container we use.
Usage: Handling, precautionary, and dilution information are available for download and viewing in the menu link under 'Care & Handling', and in the PDF link under 'Product Highlights'.
Dilution: Always use distilled water when diluting hydrogen peroxide for short- or long-term storage; all other water types including deionized, demineralized, and purified contain trace elements and minerals that react with and degrade hydrogen peroxide.
Safety: Can cause skin and eye burns undiluted. Use gloves when handling to avoid contact. Keep out of reach of children. Triple-sealed (cap, vented seal, poly bag) for quality assurance and leakage protection. *Due to international shipping restrictions, this item ships exclusively within the United States, including AK, HI, and PR.
